CASTLE ROCK Winery
Our Castle Rock Zinfandel is made from grapes grown in California’s LODI region, recognized as a premium growing location for this varietal since the 1850’s. Here, the long dry summers and cool winters pair with the deep sandy clay loam soils to provide ideal growing conditions. This full-bodied wine has outstanding complexity and characters with flavors of blackberry, raspberry, and plum mixed with pepper, spice, and earth, with a soft lingering finish. It provides accompaniment to grilled chicken, steak, or lamb and most pasta dishes.
Wine and chocolate can be an exceptional pair. This varietal proved to be a tad bit “zippy.”
