CUNA DE REYES
denominacion de origen calificada
Born and aged, as its name indicates, in Cuna de Reyes, this excellent wine arises after a careful selection of 85% tempranillo, 10% garnacha, and 5% mazuelo grapes. After controlled fermentation and ageing in oak barrels for 18 months, this cherry red coloured wine with ruby tones is obtained with aromas of mature fruit (blackberry) and spices (vanilla), perfectly blended with the oak, producing a soft and harmonic touch on the mouth and leaving a fine and varied aftertaste.”
Soft, and a bit dry. Very little tannin. Blackberry, yes, but with hints of tart cherry and more spice than just vanilla oak.
This wine needs to breathe. After all, it’s been in the bottle for almost 10 years.
