The 2013 vintage was another wonderful year in the vineyards up and down California. An early and warm start to spring, plenty of sun throughout the summer, and a mid-August spike of heat provided the rare combination of high yields with high quality. This year yielded a fruit forward vintage in both Lake and Solano counties where the bulk of our fruit comes from.

On the nose there is a wonderful red fruit character, framed nicely by a bit of peppery spice. The palate is loaded with ripe red cherry, plum and cassis with backend notes of spicy rhubarb, red meats, and chocolate. This wine has the perfect amount of tannin, spice and length.
