Founded in 2008 by Harmon and Joanne Brown, Aril wines is a family-owned and operated vineyard specializing in premium hand-crafted Syrah. Our wines are in the Rhone style and recall the grape’s classic lineage as the wine of Provence, enjoyed by French kings. Aril also produces a limited amount of Cabernet Sauvignon rich in the Napa Valley tradition from our estate on Pritchard Hill.
Aril wines are a unique experience that will satisfy even the harshest of critics; the journey from the vine to the bottle occurs through nature, not process, delivering a subtle, rich taste. Our grapes are grown in the cool air of four renowned locations: the estate vineyard in the Pritchard Hill area, the rocky soils of Atlas Peak, Kick Ranch and Walker Vine Hill in the Russian River area. We believe the less we have to do with the grapes, the better. With less interference, the true nature of the vineyard comes through, creating a balanced and rich wine.”
Our current releases include the 2010 and 2012 Syrahs from Atlas Peak. In the next few weeks we will be releasing a small quantity of our 2012 Estate Cabernet from Pritchard Hill along with our 2012 Estate Syrah. This spring our 2015 Sauvignon Blanc from Kick Ranch and our 2015 Rose of Pinot Noir from Sonoma Coast will be offered to our customers.
We believe our wines offer a unique experience that is as good at the start as it is at the finish.
